Pious Muslim
November 6, 2009
The notion that peoples of every race, religion and ethnicity may be members-citizens of every other country, of the USA particularly in this instance goes to the heart of our deepest confusions. If this is to be the way of things (and we all know it is the way of things, indeed we think of this notion as our greatest virtue; our reason for being a nation at all), it must be obvious there are no longer any nations simply; and that we are all in the business of preparing the World State. Surely it is clear that the notion we are considering can have no other end-point. More still, it must also be obvious that multiculturalism, multiracialism, and so much else serves this end point, and no other. Certainly our multimania is contrary to the purposes of national existence, and of nations composed of peoples at all. Mr. Obama is fond of saying this is not a Christian country. But then what is it?
All of this is especially on display where Muslims are concerned. Islam is self-understood to be a religion so we infer Muslims must have the same "rights" to be citizens as any other religion. Even supposing that "any other religion" should be our standard, Islam is different in kind where religions are concerned. The "canon" of Islam is Shari'a. Now anyone who calls others morons, and bigots and the rest, as I see here in this long list of comments, without at least as much knowledge of what Shari'a is than our first ever dictator president hides of his own knowledge on this subject -- (having been born a Muslim and schooled as one)-- needs to re-think what he is otherwise prompted to say about about Muslim-Americans.
Do something for your country for it is today in its greatest peril. Educate yourself in this matter. It's not hard to do. Start with the web. Robert Spencer''s blog, but most of all SANE --it's not for free. But it's the best.)
